We’re challenging you to spend 30 minutes of quiet time each day for 30 days from the 1st of October and ask your friends and family to sponsor you for $30 - that's a dollar a day. The money raised will go to The Yoga Foundation's programmes for people living with cerebral palsy or mental illness.
Imagine giving yourself the gift of daily quiet time all in the name of a good cause. You can choose how you spend your quiet time: take a walk, do a jigsaw puzzle, practice yoga, read a book, meditate, write in a journal, eat your meal slowly and mindfully. The possibilities are endless. All you need to do is switch off any external stimulation such as phones, TVs, computers, iPods and radios, and enjoy the enormous benefits that come from a regular quiet practice.
By becoming a ‘Quiet Quester’ you will help The Yoga Foundation deliver programs that improve the health and well-being of individuals, groups and communities living with hardship, who have difficulty accessing yoga in the general community.
